Just listened to krips - been quite a while - to ah taci… beautiful
phrasing by krips the orchestra so beautiful… and Della casa so
beautiful… but wtf… I hear siepi in clear now… much clearer than in
Orfeo… and ya… he sucks… absolutely sucks… fuck… like I really don’t
like it… I guess I really do prefer DFD here… but honestly… it’s kind of
weird… maybe it’s just I can’t listen to any other dg besides ghiaurov
anymore — interestingly I still seem to like DFD in fricsays nozze
despite what I said above… I like his character portayal and phrasing
and the points above don’t actually bug me that much thinking about all
the other DGs etc

Ya so Fricsays DG is actually really good… I think I need this… and
maybe even fricsay’s Zauberflöte… although the „lus-tig“ in vogelfänger
and also when he gets loud before that for a sec or sth etc already
turned me off…
