Wouldn’t put it past them, as youth has constantly surprised me at their
interests.  Look at the huge growth of Cosplay, for example, both in
participants and how much $ they spend on it.

That’s their own business decision to make in the free market.. and what’s
the alternative you’re proposing?  Mandate of Government censorship?
