Deux points clef pour comprendre :

- comment définir l'élévation d'un nombre à une puissance entière, 
rationnelle puis (surtout) irrationnelle et au delà (complexe par 
exemple) ?
- quelles sont les définitions (équivalentes) du logarithme pour des 
nombres réels, comment généraliser cette définition, quel problème 
rencontre-t-on ? Qu'est-ce que ça implique ?
