For the record, I just LOVE Pascal ... still do lots of apps small and large in FPC/Lazarus. May proto in Python, but often the goal is to re-do it in Pascal. SOME languages are a little TOO much 'ideology'. Wirth managed to balance the equation. Both ideology AND very practical. I started using Pascal back with the pink-label multi-pass IBM compilers. Never went back. 'C' is Just Great - but Pascal is far more easy to *understand* and is just 'elegant'. STILL have a VM of DOS with the multi-pass Pascal compiler - and DO stuff in it from time to time.
