C'est aussi un mathématicien spécialisé en statistiques. Cela ajoute de 
la crédibilité à l'analyse statistique des modèles climatiques et des 
séries instrumentales. Les statistiques sont difficiles et piégeuses, 
certains climatologues (de renom) ont produit des publications avec 
d'énormes erreurs statistiques.
