Star Jones declared on Wednesday that billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is a 
“foreign agent,” arguing that he was no less crazy than the guys standing on 
the corner in Times Square predicting the end of the world.

Jones, a former cohost on ABC’s “The View,” came back to the show for 
Wednesday’s broadcast and suggested that Musk — who has had a top-secret 
security clearance for years due to SpaceX’s government contracts — had 
somehow not been “properly vetted” by the U.S. government.

Cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin kicked off the conversation with her response to 
President Donald Trump’s claim that the United States would eventually take 
ownership of Gaza, explaining that she could see any one of three scenarios 
playing out.

First, she said, Trump could simply be saying one thing to distract people 
from something else. Second, he could be viewing the region solely as a real 
estate developer. And third, he could be presenting an extreme option to make 
his final decision seem less crazy by comparison.

Cohost Whoopi Goldberg, who defended former President Joe Biden long after it 
was clear that he was unable to do the work his office required, joked that 
maybe Trump was just too old to be president.

“I mean, it’s day 16 of Trump 2.0, and it’s just typical of him to throw a 
bunch of cray-cray up against the wall so that it distracts you from what’s 
really going on, and the federal employees that are scared, that don’t know 
if they’re going to have a job, if they’re going to have their retirement, 
and civil rights being diminished, and human rights being diminished,” Jones 
said before pivoting to attack Musk.

“And people knowing your business because a foreign agent has now access — 
who has not been vetted by the United States government,” she alleged. “And 
the media is playing into it, in my opinion. I mean, you’re allowing 
foolishness to distract us from facts and what is going on. It used to be you 
have people stand on the corner and just be crazy at Times Square. Now 
they’re all over the place.”
