I would recommend starting with the start of the current storyline 
(Chapter 14/Page 1555). It's a good read even if you're not quite 
familiar with who's who (the comic will get you up to speed for the 
most part).

In fact, I'd argue Clarice is even more effective there if you 
*don't* know her backstory.

You can always go back and read the originals (which are slowly 
being redrawn in the current style, so that might be a time crunch 
if you want that original flavor) later.

Older readers, like myself, will be happy to fill in any gaps or 
answer any questions (assuming those questions actually HAVE 
answers).
