That is indeed a problem, and not just with corporate users. Some years ago I was about to leave a b&b in a faraway town to go on the next stage of my journey. I needed to be out of the room in ten minutes, but I thought that give me enough time to check my email before I left, by three hours later I was still waiting for it to finish downloading and installing Service Pack 3. I cursed Microsoft more on that day than on any other. So the fault is Windows. Unattended automatic updates are a feature of Windows. There may be a way of turning it off, but that is quite hard t find. -- Steve Hayes from Tshwane, South Africa Web: http://www.khanya.org.za/stevesig.htm Blog: http://khanya.wordpress.com E-mail - see web page, or parse: shayes at dunelm full stop org full stop uk
