Sadly I started the demo as I'd already downloaded it. Unfortunately
I'm also enjoying it so far.

It doesn't seem to save except at points it doesn't tell you when, I
think you keep all your stuff, but it doesn't seem to keep all quest
progress, which I find annoying. Being live online only I can't just
leave it open either as it force logs you out.

The other thing that's bugging me a little is the 'events' that are
trials that only exist for a short amount of time, which I know is to
prey upon FoMO.

I tried Druid up to 13th, because I wanted to see a new class. I just
started Necromancer because that was my favorite from 2, which I like a
lot better so far. It occurs to me I could just go play 2 again for
Necromancer though. The visuals and story great, and the character
customization is nice though.

I don't know what it is about Diablo that draws me in that other clones
(mostly) don't.

I'm going to try to resist actually buying it, but I'll probably play
the heck out of the demo (although with a level max of 20 that doesn't
look like it'll be very long even if I try all the characters.) If it
didn't have all that MTX shit tacked on, and just had a nice offline
single-player or especially split-screen play mode where you could
actually save the game I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Yeah I don't get that. Apparently the demo is only time limited on
Steam, not if you got it through them. Which is yet more asshattery by
them. Though it's still limited to level 20 (of something like 150+
post leveling progress.)
