Karen Mallard Rainwater the same thing happened to my late wife
Katherine in Atlanta, summer 1982. She was hired as a waitress in a
fancy Japanese restaurant downtown, good pay but very strict waitress
etiquette. I wasn't really fond of some of the details, she had to light
cigars for the customers, things like that. The restaurant was located
several floors up in Colony Square, in 1982 a very modern building,
hollow in the middle, like a mall or sort of a super mall. Well, she was
working there a few days and then came home crying. One of the
highfalutin customers had patted her on the backside (or worse) and she
was so startled she spilled soup in his lap. The managers of course
blamed her and sent her home for the day. She got home and told me the
story, she was pretty shook up. I said that's okay, you just quit, and I
got my friend Jim Pontius to drive me downtown so I could return her
skimpy little waitress dresses and give them a piece of my mind. One
moment I'll always treasure is standing in the lobby of the Colony
Square, yelling some things that weren't very nice. The echo there was
fantastic, I felt like a Tennessee Williams character that day.

Okay CC: Brian Mallard and Walter Mallard looks like I have the lyrics
for the next song for Thursday.😀
Here was Kathy, me and our son Clay Dockery in 1982 to give a visual.
