   Made data recorders with Arduino's ... a double 'shield'
   arrangement. The first was a proto board I glued all the
   sensor electronics to, the second was a LiPo/solar charger
   board (use Seeed, not any others !). There was an option
   for a third shield, LCD display, but actually you set
   everything over serial so it was never necessary but
   I did make one.

   Yep, had to change usenet again, my old provider is
   getting more and more flakey. I suspect there's ONE
   bald old hunched guy (looks more familiar in the
   mirror these days) there who knows how to make
   the server work ... and once he retires, or is
   found dead in his cubicle after a month ....

   Anyway, while PIs are very capable, might not cover
   EVERY possibility with just one 'hat'. IMHO hats
   should have a row of pass-thru GPIO connectors on
   top, just in case.
