It appears that Krygowski doesn't understand the definition of the
word "practical," which simply means 'useful' according to various
dictionaries.

Apparently, he believes that he's qualified to define what someone
sees as being useful to them. 

As for me, I've always found target shooting to be a useful activity.
My wife shares that notion, and yes, she has her own gun. Hers has a
laser site, whiich she also believes to be useful. I don't think they
are useful for me, but unlike Krygowski, I respect her choice and
don't try to define what's useful for her.
