Avant l'apparition de la photosynthèse, la composition de l'atmosphère 
de la terre était très différente. Depuis l'apparition des organisme 
chlorophylliens elle est devenue terriblement oxydante ce qui a 
complètement son aspect : des organismes vivants de plus en plus 
complexes ont envahi sa surface et colonisé tous les espaces émergés, 
excepté les déserts glacés des pôles.
