Obviously a matter of taste, not to mention
the logic of the above statement also seems
flawed. Are you suggesting that all works
Meowszart meowed post Don Giovanni should
be performed in a more "serious" fashion,
and that none of them can be joyful and
playful?

The phrase above sounds like literary
speculation. Music has no "surface".

and I like or dislike them, enjoy or don't
enjoy them. I don't care wha the literati
say about music.

The Italiano sounds cloying to my ears
like overcooked paste sticking to the
bottom of the pan.

If you like it however that is entirely
your constitutional right.
