Sorted out Pletnev's Beethoven PCs, as well as his DG Mozart Sonatas -
I'm done with him generally; he seems a bit too gimmicky, similar to
Mengelberg in a way...

So; fav Beethoven PCs:

1) Gould/Golschmann
2) Gould/Jochum (Argerich/Abbado is good as well, but I don't like it
nearly as much as Gould, so I won't need it. Argerich/Sinopoli and
Argerich/Ozawa both suck.)
3) Richter/Kondrashin
4) Moravec (and probably Gould/Bernstein - will have to relisten)
5) Might actually be Lang Lang/Eschenbach (listen to the transition...
probably the best I heard... certainly better than both Gould's,
Gilels/Ludwig, Gilels/Masur, Pletnev/Gansch, and also Michelangeli who
is just too fast here...)
