I also don't recall telling the group what Tom's rides were like.
However, it doesn't take much imagination to guess the highlights,
which were punctuated by various bicycle components failing or falling
off the bicycle at inconvenient times.  Some of the rides involve
hidden dangers, like sinking into "deep mud":
