Don't know if my deceased daughter speculation works with the timeline, 
but that's certainly how it seemed to me.

Keeley Hawes is 48, and Kira Manning is 47 in Echoes according to the 
Orphan Black wiki:

Age 47 is consistent with Kira's being 8 in the last season of Orphan 
Black (set in 2014, which I found on Reddit but can't find it again), 
and Echoes starts in 2052, 38 years later.

Krysten Ritter is 42 but she looks about 30 to me, at least as Lucy.
