Windows is generally > better with seldom-used machines. True. I usually update the Windows laptop after Patch Tuesday, the Fedora box every couple of days or there is a huge backlog. Ubuntu is much less intense and is the production Debian. otoh we have clients using Windows Server that are very upset by downtime so they never patch. Then comes the fatal day when they ultimately have to. Five nines is a joke with Windows Server.
