I haven't seen many mastadons lately. https://www.nysm.nysed.gov/exhibitions/ongoing/cohoes-mastodon-0 I always liked visiting that mastadon, since my great-grandfather was involved in finding it. He wasn't an archaeologist; he was building a dam for the mill when they dug up some strange bones.
