It is, and I have taken several courses remotely. If you poke around there 
are quite a few offerings that are free to audit. I'm currently doing a ML 
course from Duke. Like IRL courses some are much better than others.

I'm using that as a brush up on linear algebra. ML depends on it but most 
ML tutorials gloss over the underlying math. Numpy, Sci-learn, PyTorch, 
TensorFlow, and the like handle the grunt work but if you're curious yu 
need some familiarity with linear. Like differential equations I haven't 
had a need for it for 50 years or more so a review helps.
