If it works, I'll be happy to curse NVIDIA > yet again. It's been a while so I just checked. The Windows 11 laptop came up and the Fedora 42 terminal was still active. I have it set to hibernate when the lid is closed. For my use the 10 seconds or so to come out of hibernation is perfectly acceptable. It is an AMD Ryzen 7 with the integrated Radeon graphics so no Nvidia involved.
