I only know the tabloid headline version of what's involved in a SIM swap, clearly the networks don't want to give out information about how it's actually done, but I wish I knew more about that e.g. to choose a network that protects their customers better ... I don't think any mobile network has ever invited me to setup TOTP/2FA on my account.
