Our idea was to create a "celebratory" hierarchy to relaunch the use of usenet in Italy. Many newsgroups in the "It.* " hierarchy are practically empty, in the sense that there are no more people posting. So I proposed to Corrado Roberto the launch of the "Usenet.*" hierarchy with a few newsgroups dedicated to topics of particular interest, or to users particularly active in the Italian community who write many posts and make the Italian , "surviving" community lively. The hierarchy, to be created, also wanted to try to go beyond the Italian one, and include non-Italian users as well, this with the clear purpose of revitalizing an increasingly small community. So we thought a celebratory and inclusive name, and it seemed like a good idea to launch a hierarchy called "Usenet.*" -- *Posted from PiaoHongUsenetClientV.2.02.M17 News.individual.net*
