In the Seventies, where I live, all the rage was a open-faced hamburger plate with chili, cheese and an egg on top. I really liked those. I thought they had a name for them. No, not chili burger! At any rate, that's a Latino version of Loco Moco. Substitute hamburger bun for rice, and chili for savory gravy. Put an egg on top. I ought to make one. It's been fifty years.
