Into the depths of Heck we once again plumb, seeking out new games to
install and run. Sure, Epic, give us new games to play, but there
ain't nothing you got that for which I'd be willing to play.



* Death's Gambit: Afterlife

    A side-scrolling old-school platformer, with the usual 
    Metroidvania stylings and gameplay. Nothing wrong with 
    it; in fact, it looks quite nice and reviews are generally 
    quite positive with regards to its variety of weapons 
    and bosses, it's story, and general gameplay. It's 
    overall polish is marred only by the fact that, in the 
    end, it doesn't do very much new or original. But so 
    long as you haven't played a Metroidvania-style game in 
    a while, that probably won't be a problem. Overall, a 
    quality -if not too exciting- addition to any video-
    game library.


Fortunately, we didn't have to plumb too deeply into the vile realms
of EGS before we could snatch our prize and run. The Number grows
large with Epic's largesse, and I've yet to spend a penny there! The
usual seven-day time-limit applies to this freebie, so if you're
interested in the game, wander over to the Epic Game Store anytime
over the course of the next week and grab the game. Otherwise, there
will be new stuff next Thursday.
