And the manual says to drain gasoline from the tank if it's not going to be used for a few months. So, that is probably the problem. I assume the engine is 2-stroke and the OP is putting oil in the right proportion? Good idea to clean and re gap the sparkplug. Might be carbonized. And that's the extent of my knowledge of motor-thingies.
