I rather admire Frankie's notions. Shooting is no benefit to anyone.
Although he is certainly wrong as it was certainly beneficial to me.

I was on the base pistol team and won the Maine State Pistol
Championship and the Vermont State Pistol Championship pistol matches
and was selected to shoot on the Strategic Air Command Team in the
Inter Service Matches the same year. There is no doubt in my mind that
went a long way in my being promoted that same year.
