Nope.  Wrong again.

Ffmpeg is the only choice and it does not function with that
junk Wayland.

The exception is the ffmpeg "kmsgrab" option but that's also junk
and it only works with the KDE garbage.

No one at ffmpeg wants to support junk Wayland:
