That is not strictly true.

Both of the above are merely GUI wrappers around fundamental
FOSS libraries and utilities such as ffmpeg.

The true successes are these fundamental libraries.

Ffmpeg, for example, literally rules the video world.
Absolutely no one wants anything from Microslop.
