My fantastic Xeon W-1270P machine has finally booted.

The delay was the fault of the vendor.  I originally had
purchased an NVidia TU117 card for $170 (what a bargain!).
But shipment was not expected for 2 weeks.

Fine.  However, 2 weeks passed and no card.  I inquired
an was told 3 more weeks.

Fine.  However, 3 weeks passed and still no fucking card.
I inquired and was told Mar 3.  I said "fuck it" and
canceled the order.

Then I found an NVidia TU116 card, which is better, for
only $220 (another great bargain!).  It arrived just
a few days later.

The TU116 has more stuff and also allows GPU encoding
of B frames (look up the specs yourself).

I compiled a carefully customized kernel (6.13.2) and 
glibc (2.41) and then let it loose.

Feast thine jaundiced, bloodshot eyeballs on the kernel
boot log, shown below.

Note the 16 processors (8 cores plus SMP) at 121645.33
BogoMIPS.

Note the 32 Gb of ECC RAM.

This machine will beat the living fuck out of any equivalent
distro build.  Hands down!
