The distros try to make it more foolproof, but, largely because of vendor reticence, they cannot always succeed. As I indicated in an earlier post, the GNU/Linux user should always research compatibility issues BEFORE acquiring hardware. -- Systemd: solving all the problems that you never knew you had.
