  yes, funny you mention them, they were among my favorites
too for the same reasons you cite.  the other thing is that
i like Babe Ruth candy bars of old, but now they suffer the
same fate as the RPBC...  all sweet, no flavor.

  i never had one of those or saw them, but i think by then
i may have pretty much gone off commercial candy because i got
into making my own.
