Il y a les commandes Linux, qui sont exécutées par le noyau et qui ne 
changent donc pas d'une distribution à l'autre.

Il y a aussi les utilitaires. Un utilitaire donné s'utilise de la même 
façon, quelle que soit la distribution, à condition bien sûr qu'il soit 
installé ou disponible dans les dépôts.

On ne peut pas exclure qu'il y ait des différences d'une version d'un 
utilitaire à l'autre, genre ajout d'une nouvelle option.
