Sur Artix Linux, j'utilise alsa et les qastools (avec un joli mixeur 
bien pratique).

J'ai deux cartes son et j'utilise le micro de ma webwam pour enregistrer 
le son avec
SimpleScreenRecorder.
J'ai supprimé tous les paquets pulse (sauf libpulse).

Quand on a plusieurs cartes son :

Pour voir les cartes son :
cat /proc/asound/cards

  0 [HDMI           ]: HDA-Intel - HDA ATI HDMI
                       HDA ATI HDMI at 0xfce60000 irq 96
  1 [Generic        ]: HDA-Intel - HD-Audio Generic
                       HD-Audio Generic at 0xfc900000 irq 98

Ensuite pour définir la carte 1 :
mousepad ~/.asoundrc ou nano ~/.asoundrc

defaults.pcm.card 1
defaults.ctl.card 1

Pour finir il faut redémarrer ou
redémarrer le service alsasound :
sudo rc-service alsasound restart (commande pour openrc à adapter pour 
systemd)
