There's a ridiculously over-priced version of the new "DooM + DooM II" bundle (that's the one using the KEX engine) available at LimitedRunGames.com. They're the folk who sell boxed copies of games for people who like having a box (the games themselves are still delivered digitally; you're just paying for the box and knick-knacks. And although the $666.66 (<sigh>) price tag is obscene, you can't say that you aren't getting at least SOME value you for money, as the game includes a model cacodemon, a soundtrack on cassette tape (what, no 8-track?), trading cards and more. And a box, too. A box that has a Pi and tiny LCD screen in it that plays Doom. Because Doom runs everywhere. (Also, the cacodemon plays Doom too, because sure, why not? But I'm more impressed by the box) Maybe -just maybe- we're taking the joke too far?
