Halloween, as with pretty much every other "holiday", is today simply 
about retailers selling as much product as they can.  :-p

The origin of Halloween is in the pagan seasonal celebrations ... it 
has absolutely nothing to do with going door-to-door begging for candy 
nor "sppoky" ghosts, etc.
