Right
I started with Linux in 1998 when it came as free CD with some magazine.
was called 'SLS Linux'.
As I had already some experience with Unix at work and a good Unix book
it took a day or so to get started.
It had a free C compiler, ggc, but no Usenet news-reader like Free Agent
so one of the first things I did was write one,
using it now on a Raspberry Pi4 8 GB to post this.

  that is an old x86 version, the current libforms GUI library may not work.
The raspi version is still under test, so have not published the code (yet).
Seem to work OK with some GUI restrictions.
