The state legislature both impeached and convicted Rod Blagojevich,
removing him from the office of governor. Unlike what Congress did in
impeaching Trump, they actually remembered to bar him from running for
public office again.

Blagojevich went before a federal judge to get the ban lifted, but the
judge essentially mocked him in his judicial order. He ruled that courts
have no jurisdiction to lift the ban.
