I had the cataract diagnosis three years ago.  Its taken this long for 
me to get the money together to do it.

Much the same with me.  The only thing that saved me from coke-bottle 
glasses is better materials to make lenses from.  As it is the operation 
went well, the check-up today didn't reveal any immediate problems, I 
have 20/20 in that eye now and have a mid-April date for the operation 
on the other eye.  But I am/was so massively short-sighted that trying 
to use both eyes now gives me a splitting headache, so I'm wearing an 
eye-patch until then.
