You didn’t ask it to <https://manpages.debian.org/apt-get.8.en.html>. E.g.

    apt-get remove --autoremove «packages...»

Also note the purge function, if you want to get rid of leftover configs 
as well.

Heard of InstallShield? Yeah, this is why Linux doesn’t need it.
