Apple committed fraud and it was proven fraud - so they paid the penalty.

It's half a billion dollars, which could build about five of the Francis
Scott Key Bridges - that's how huge this fraud penalty was for Apple.

The nut cases will assess that Apple has the money but that excuse is no
different than you or me being penalized fifty thousand dollars for fraud.

Sure we can pay the fifty thousand dollars out of our pocket money, but we
wouldn't ever pay that fifty thousand unless we were guilty of that fraud.

The fact Apple loses all these cases shows they are an unethical company.
