How can one measure the quality of sound in an audio player? Doing it by 
ear, I'd say Celluloid is the best that I have. But is there a 
quantitative way to check the quality? If there is, it could cut a lot 
of bullshit.

With Celluloid, for instance, I can hear the very last two notes played 
in Chopin's op 64 #2 clear and mint. Even in low volume. Can you do that 
with your player if it's that good? My version of that work is the one 
played and published by Arthur Rubinstein.

Find the work. Download it. Play it in low volume. And maybe we can 
compare the quality of sound produced by Celluloid and whatever it is 
that you use, provided identical set of speakers, and identical sound 
cards and identical computers and identical auditory cortex, and, 
identical set of background noise. Hahhhahhahh :-)

Or, explain a clear description of how quality of sound can be 
quantitatively compared.
