You didn't have to.  In 20 years, we haven't had ONE female cola poster 
that was a programmer.

Heck, we've only had 3 or 4 female posters total that I can recall:

flatfish (a legendary basher of 'advocates'.  I hope she's well)

Martha Adams (she liked to bash Microsoft - from her Windows system.  A 
typical cola 'advocate')

Kleuske & Moos (mean)


The usenet/cola code of conduct ("no censorship, anything goes") scares 
most women off.
