All what you said is true, but some of what you said can be overcome by mirroring the iPad over onto the Windows computer using a tool such as https://www.vysor.io/download/ When casting that iPad to the PC's monitor, you have full use of the keyboard, mouse and clipboard of the PC (and any attached pencils).
