Windows is the geek/tech-friendly operating system because they have to continually muck about so much to get anything to actually work. MacOS is the user friendly operating system that suffers far fewer issues. (Hence the old story about company tech departments not liking Macs because it gave them nothing to do, potentially putting some out of a job.) For proof, see the install instructions for pretty much any printer (or any other hardware add-on). The Windows instructions almost always take up far more space and are more complicated than the MacOS instructions.
