Apple never targeted the corporate unlike MS illegally did. Windows is cheap and cheerful which is perfect for corporate keyboard warriors. Apple is expensive because it doesn't target the low end, high volume but targets demanding users who need robust, reliable hardware that works. Hence why it's favoured by professionals in creative industries. macOS is also a unix machine, hence why it's liked by scientists and software engineers who have seen the light.
