It has allowed the rest of the world to discover what is really going on with human suffering in those killing fields, not filtered through the censorship of “mainstream” media. And in return, it has allowed the Gazans to discover that many in the rest of the world are aware of their plight and are not sitting idly by while they suffer and die. Without the instant two-way connectivity afforded by modern digital media, the students across University campuses in the US and beyond would not now be demonstrating in favour of peace in Gaza and freedom for Palestinians.
