I'm not commenting on other providers. The regional sports fee goes to
the major local sports teams. ESPN is included in in all but the lowest
package because they get paid based on the number of subscribers to
Comcast.

Because these are all broadcast channels. The only way to avoid the
broadcast fee is with a package without tv at all.
