This sounds like an adaptation of Diane Mott Davidson's
Goldy the Caterer mystery series. At least the last name
of the detective, her first name (but not last name) and
movie titles match book titles. The summary of this movie
doesn't match the book's story (assuming that I can remember
that far back; the books are up in the archive aka attic
and it's too hot up there to go check it out).

You'd think that the advertising and summary of this series
of movies would include the pointer to the author and book
series which was very popular among cozy mystery mavens.
I know that the cozy mystery world was bummed out when
the last book in the series was released and the ending
made it clear that there would be no more new books.

(rest of Robin's fine post snipped)

Nyssa, who is glad that there are plenty of other mysteries
and thrillers out there to read since too many favorites
are ending due to authors' retirements and demises
