Oh, heck.  I could make that, and pretty quick too.  Or atleast a
version of it.

On second thought that seems a lot of weight and leverage to load down 
caliper jaws with, if it's damaged you might waste a lot of work before 
noticing. They have this too:

If you wear bifocal safety glasses with magnifying inserts reading a vernier
